Community Involvement
We Are, Always Have Been Part Of Your Community
From age 8, John McCabe wanted to become a lawyer. That desire never wavered, and John’s passion for the law remains strong and unremitting.
Since 1994, John has dedicated himself to representing injured workers in workers’ compensation and third-party cases. Those cases often involve vehicle collisions, workplace safety violations, and defective products. John decided to represent workers after interning at an insurance company during law school and working for an insurance defense firm early in his career.
“My experience working at an insurance company showed me that good, honest, hardworking people need a strong advocate to stand up and fight for them.” — Attorney John McCabe
Our Philosophy: We Build A Relationship With You Based On Ethics And Hard Work
John and our firm earned a reputation for their hard-work, thoroughness, and professionalism. We recognize that in many respects, the practice of law is a relationship business, and we go to great lengths to establish meaningful relationships – both with clients and opposing counsel – that are based on trust and evenhandedness.
“As a lawyer, your most important asset is your reputation – and that reputation must be founded on credibility, honesty, and fair-dealing.”
Our firm eschews advertising, and relies on old-fashioned, word-of-mouth referrals, mostly from fellow attorneys and past clients. In a highly competitive field, John built our firm on unwavering commitment to our clients. As John says, “From Day 1, I’ve always said that if we take care of our clients and provide them with the highest level of legal representation, everything else will take care of itself.”
That philosophy has proven true, as John’s firm has consistently achieved impressive results for its clients, while at the same time, earning multiple recognitions from other lawyers for its legal work and ethics.
Our Responsibility Is To Give Back — And It Is One We Enjoy
Our award-winning firm recognizes the need to give back to the profession. For example, John:
- Created a scholarship at Campbell Law School for students who demonstrate a commitment to volunteerism and community service.
- Has been elected to several leadership positions with the North Carolina Advocates for Justice. For four years he served on the organization’s Executive Committee and now serves as President of the organization.
- Frequently speaks at CLE’s and law schools across the State.
- Authored the chapter on “The Analysis and Investigation of Personal Injury Cases” in the Personal Injury Practice in North Carolina.
Our firm also gives back to the community. For the last ten years, John has coached boys’ basketball, and each year, our firm sponsors numerous youth sports teams in Cary and Apex. We are a big supporter of Catholic Charities and its efforts address poverty, homelessness, and hunger in central and eastern North Carolina.
