The North Carolina Highway Patrol says a teenager from Efland was killed in Orange County Saturday evening when her car ran off the road and hit a tree.
The accident happened around 10 p.m. on I-85 near I-40. Nineteen-year-old Ashley Ann Terry died from injuries sustained in the wreck.
Troopers say neither alcohol nor speed appeared to have been factors in the wreck.
