5 People Injuried in Davidson County, NC Car Accident
DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. -- Five students at Central Davidson High School were injured in a two-vehicle crash near Freezor Road Monday morning, highway patrol troopers said.
Troopers said 16-year-old Shilo Strass and her 14-year-old brother Josh Green were injured when Strass turned in front of car traveling north on Highway 8.
The car struck Strass's pickup truck and stopped on the right side of the road, injuring the occupants of that vehicle. They were identified as Josh Williams, 16, who was driving, Aaron Williams, 15, and Troy Curry, 15.
All five were taken to Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center to be treated for their injuries. Aaron Williams was taken by helicopter to WFUBMC.
Troopers said all five were wearing seat belts, and were expected to recover from their injuries.
Strass was charged with failure to yield the right of way as well as a registration violation.
