RALEIGH, N.C. — One person died in an apparent drowning after a boating accident on a lake in north Raleigh early Thursday afternoon, according to Phyllis Stephens, a spokeswoman for the Wake County Sheriff's Office.
The boating accident occurred near Old Milburnie Road and Tarheel Club Drive, which is near two lakes off the Neuse River.
The victim's identity and more details about the boating accident haven't been released.
