The N.C. Highway Patrol has cleared up an accident on Interstate 26 eastbound this morning that slowed traffic both ways.
The accident near Long Shoals road left one vehicle on its top and one lane of the highway closed. The cab of a white minivan is crushed and rescue workers were treating an injured woman at the scene. Traffic was also backed up westbound.
At least two people were injured in the wreck, according to police radio traffic.
